Nuno Ferreira Pires is a Portuguese executive with extensive experience in leading multinational and national companies across the consumer goods, hospitality, media, and sports sectors. He is recognized for his ability to develop growth strategies, lead high-performance teams, and build strong brands in highly competitive markets. Since 2017, he has served as CEO of SPORT TV and is also co-founder of Chief Portugal Officers (CPO), a community of business leaders dedicated to knowledge sharing and promoting ideas for the country’s development.
A graduate in Business Management, he began his career at Procter & Gamble’s Iberian division. He later joined Compal, where he led innovation projects such as the launch of Compal Essencial, and then Central de Cervejas (Scottish & Newcastle/Heineken), where he was responsible for the water unit and the Sagres brand, doubling Luso’s EBITDA in less than three years. He went on to serve as a board member at PPG Industries Iberia and as Executive Director of Pestana Hotel Group, with global responsibilities in Marketing and Sales. Since 2017, he has led SPORT TV, overseeing sports rights management and the company’s strategic transformation. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director at AMINT and sits on the board of Companhia das Obras in Portugal. He was recognized as one of the “100 Most Innovative Portuguese” by the Innovation Circle.
