Javier Rodríguez Zapatero is one of the most influential figures in digital transformation and marketing in Spain. As Chairman of ISDI since 2017, he has spearheaded the international expansion of Spain’s first native digital business school, now present in Madrid, Barcelona, Mexico, and Silicon Valley. Founded in 2009 by Rodríguez Zapatero and other Internet industry professionals, ISDI aims to drive digital transformation by training digital professionals, fostering talent, and supporting entrepreneurs and companies.
Prior to his role at ISDI, Rodríguez Zapatero served as General Manager of Google Spain, Portugal, and Turkey for nearly nine years. Under his leadership, Google Spain became one of Google Europe’s top-performing subsidiaries.
Javier Rodríguez Zapatero has a distinguished career in the Internet and technology industries. Before joining Google, he held various executive roles at Yahoo! Spain, culminating in his appointment as Vice President of Sales for Europe in 2006. He also gained strategic and commercial experience in marketing and sales roles at Johnson Wax and Procter & Gamble.
Since 2017, Rodríguez Zapatero has served as an independent director at EVO Banco, where he contributes to the bank’s digital transformation and the adoption of innovative business models. He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration, specializing in Finance, as well as a postgraduate degree in Auditing. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards in marketing and technology and is an active member of various information technology associations.
