Pedro Campos is Spain’s most decorated sailor and a key figure in the global sailing world. Both a businessman and an athlete, Campos has won 16 world championships and 11 King’s Cups in sailing. He is the only skipper in the history of sailing to achieve five consecutive world championships, and he has led Spanish teams in major competitions such as the America’s Cup and the Volvo Ocean Race. Since 1999, he has served as the president of the Royal Nautical Club of Sanxenxo and is the sports director of Team Telefónica, contributing greatly to the development of sailing in Spain and the training of future generations of sailors.
Pedro Campos began sailing at a young age and won his first national title in the Snipe class in 1968. He captured his first world championship in Monaco in 1976 in the Vaurien class.
