Margarita Mayo is Professor of Leadership at IE Business School in Madrid, Keynote Speaker, and the Author of Yours Truly: Staying Authentic in Leadership and Life (Bloomsbury, 2018). She features on the Thinkers50 “Guru Radar” as one of the world´s top management experts and a Nominee for the 2017 Leadership Award, considered the “Oscars of Management Thinking” by Financial Times.
She is a Fulbright Alumni of Harvard University and has taught at some of the world’s leading business schools such as the Ivey School of Business in Canada, ESMT in Berlin, and Lancaster University in the UK.
Her publications have appeared in the Harvard Business Review and in the leading academic journals. She speaks regularly at international conferences worldwide and her media commentary has appeared in the Financial Times, Fortune, the Guardian, the Economists, Forbes and the Economic Times of India.
Margarita was educated in Europe and the United States. She has a B.A in Psychology from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid; an M.A. in Psychology from Clark University; and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the State University of New York at Buffalo (where her thesis on leadership and diversity was a finalist in the Best Dissertation Award in the United States).
