A graduate of the School of Architecture and the Official Film School, he has his own film production company, Fernando Colomo Producciones.
Among his most recent films are La Isla Bonita (2015) , for which he was nominated for the Goya for Best New Actor and received the RNE Sant Jordii Award for Cinematography, and La Banda Picasso (2012).Also included in his filmography are La mano negra, awarded at the Mystfest in Italy or La vida alegre, his great success and for which Verónica Forqué received the Goya Award for Best Actress. He is also the author of El caballero del dragón, Alegre ma non troppo, awarded at the Paris Film Festival as Best Film, El efecto mariposa, Los años bárbaros and Bajarse al moro, a film version of the theater play by José Luis Alonso de Santos. For television he is responsible for series such as Chicas de Hoy en Día, Famosos y familia and Dime que me quieres, as well as the miniseries El pacto and the films Eso and Cuarteto de la Habana.
