Who Is Tina V. Fernandez?

Tina V. Fernandez is a passionate advocate for social justice and educational equity, known for her ability to create transformative programs that have a positive impact on communities. Currently, Tina is a Senior Fellow with the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative, where she continues to support equity and leadership development. Previously, she was the founding Executive Director of Achieve Atlanta, an organization aimed at making Atlanta a city where race and income no longer predict educational success or upward mobility.

Tina has played a pivotal role in talent and leadership development across various fields. In her role at Achieve Atlanta, she launched initiatives to help low-income and minority students access and complete postsecondary education. She was a partner at Bellwether Education Partners, a nonprofit consulting firm where she helped create the Talent Readiness Pilot and co-led the development of talent services. Her career includes founding the Pro Bono Program at the University of Texas School of Law, where she served as a Clinical Professor. Additionally, Tina has worked in alumni engagement and professional development at Teach For America and IDEA Austin, where she helped launch two schools. She currently serves as a trustee of the Tull Charitable Foundation, is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, and a moderator for the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
