President of De Vengoechea & Associates, a consultancy firm with headquarters in Miami. Mr. De Vengoechea is one of the political strategists and general consultants with more experience in the association. Since 1982, he advised eighteen presidential candidates and more than two hundred congressional, gubernatorial, municipal and other campaigns in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, United States and Venezuela. He also served the governments of Colombia in 1994-98, El Salvador in 1999-2004 and Guatemala during the presidential crisis in 2010. In 2003-10, he has advised Doctor Leonel Fernandez, President of the Dominican Republic.
