At just two years old, Mark Schulman was captivated watching Ringo Starr drum with the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. From that moment, he felt a nearly supernatural pull toward rhythm. By age five, he was playing his first drum set, and by twelve, he had landed his first professional gig. Mark left college to pursue music full-time, scoring his first world tour with R&B legend Brenda Russell at the age of 26.
