José Manuel Calderón is a retired Spanish basketball player, born in Villanueva de la Serena, Badajoz, on September 28, 1981. He established himself as one of the most iconic figures in basketball during his 14-year NBA career, becoming the fourth Spanish player to debut in the league.

He was also a key member of the Spanish national team, winning the 2006 FIBA World Cup and the 2011 EuroBasket, as well as three Olympic medals.
