Carmen Calvo Poyatos is a leading expert in Constitutional Law and a prominent figure in Spanish politics. From 1996 to 2004, she served as Minister of Culture for the Andalusian Government. She later became Spain’s Minister of Culture (2004–2007), and held the office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency, Equality and Democratic Memory (2018–2021). From 2021 to 2023, she chaired the Equality Commission in the Spanish Parliament.
