Priya Lakhani OBE is Founder CEO of Century Tech who is driven by her passion for entrepreneurship and success. Her mission to help schools through the power of artificial intelligence makes her an innovative and inspiring speaker. Priya was awarded Business Entrepreneur of the Year in 2009, and was named on the Growing Business Young Guns list 2009; Management Today’s ’35 Women Under 35’ and shortlisted for Young Achiever of the Year in the Asian Women Awards.
In 2014, Priya launched her second business Century Tech, and was awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours list of the same year, for services to business, community and voluntary initiatives. Century Tech is a cloud education forum, helping to overcome the challenges in learning and reducing teacher workload. This powerful idea uses big data analytics and cognitive neuroscience. Beginning as a libel lawyer, Priya left a secure and respected profession to follow her dreams with a fresh Indian food brand called Masala Masala. With not much more than a naive optimism and family support, Masala Masala reached the top echelons of the UK food market and became the forerunner for Priya’s subsequent business and charitable enterprises.
Priya has been a member of the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills’ Entrepreneurs’ Forum, alongside sitting on the board for many educational organisations. In 2016 she was awarded The Mayor of London Fund’s Special Recognition Award.
