Dr. Miguel Luengo-Oroz served as Chief Data Scientist of UN Global Pulse in the Executive Office of the UN Secretary-General, where he oversaw the organization’s technology strategy. For over ten years, he led interdisciplinary teams that brought data science and AI into public policy and operations across international organizations, governments, and the private sector. His work has impacted diverse areas including poverty, food security, human rights, gender equality, conflict prevention, climate, epidemics, and privacy. He is currently the founder and CEO of Spotlab, a platform leveraging AI and mobile technologies to democratize medical diagnostics, and a professor at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
