Prior to NotCo, Fernando spent two years as chief marketing officer at Activision Blizzard, where he was responsible for the marketing initiatives of some of the most exciting titles in the gaming industry (Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, Candy Crush among others).
Preceding his time at Activision Blizzard, Machado served as chief marketing officer for seven years at Restaurant Brands International (RBI), where he infused brands like Burger King, Popeyes and Tim Hortons with purpose by driving sustainability, improving product quality, modernizing design, and enhancing the organization on the basis of tech, digital and brand development. Prior to Restaurant Brands International, Fernando worked for 18 years at Unilever, where he climbed the ranks by working on different product categories and brands, including Dove where he led the groundbreaking “Real Beauty Sketches”.
Through his work over the years, Machado has made lasting impact and formed pop-culture as we know it. Holding a long list of industry accolades, including AdWeek Grand Brand Genius in 2013 and 2018, a title never been won twice by the same person, Machado constantly appears in global marketing and creativity rankings.
