Who Is Andrés Moreno?

Andrés Moreno is a prominent Venezuelan entrepreneur, best known as the founder and CEO of Open English, the leading online English learning platform in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. With over 2 million students and a global presence, Moreno has positioned his company as a reference in the online education sector. He is also the co-founder of other successful ventures such as Escala and Longevo, and a founding board member of Endeavor Miami, an organization promoting entrepreneurship in emerging markets.

Andrés Moreno began his entrepreneurial journey in Venezuela, co-founding Optimal English, a company that trained executives from major corporations in English. In 2005, after leaving the traditional English teaching business, he co-created with Wilmer Sarmiento the revolutionary platform Open English, an online English course that allows students to learn anytime, anywhere, with native English-speaking teachers.

Under his leadership, Open English has raised over $130 million in investment and expanded its educational offerings to include other languages and digital skills programs through Next University.
