Who is Bárbara Anderson?

Bárbara Anderson is an Argentinian-Mexican journalist, writer, and social activist, best known for her book “Los dos hemisferios de Lucca”, which inspired a Netflix film available in 195 countries. Her work bridges media innovation, storytelling and advocacy for the rights of people with disabilities. As the creator of impactful journalistic and social projects, she leads her own news platform and is a reference for inclusion and accessibility in Latin America. Her professional mission is to make invisible realities visible, inspire change, and champion equal opportunities.

With over twenty years of experience, Bárbara Anderson has held key positions in Mexico’s major media. She was the first female Editor-in-Chief of Expansión magazine and editorial director for Grupo Expansión’s magazines. She served as Director of Editorial Innovation and columnist at Milenio and Milenio TV. She founded www.la-lista.com, secured The Guardian license in Spanish for Mexico, and co-founded Yo También, the first fully accessible news site on disability. She has published “Los dos hemisferios de Lucca”—adapted into a global Netflix film—and “(IN)visibles”, winner of an international book award. She is a contributor to Opinión 51, Whitepaper and El Financiero, and her weekly news show Anderson Report reaches millions. Her philanthropic and advocacy work is recognized throughout Latin America.
