Comprehensive Management Strategy for the Positioning of Spain Film Commission

Strengthened the association’s and its members’ presence across media, public, and business spheres, achieving a significant improvement in the overall quality of their positioning.

Our Client

Spain Film Commission serves as the coordinating body for Spain’s network of film commissions and film offices. It leads the country’s positioning in the global production industry, establishing Spain as a premier destination for all types of film and audiovisual projects.

The Challenge

The client lacked cohesion in its communication and public positioning strategy, which impacted its role within the sector and resulted in insufficient recognition among public opinion.

Our Solution

We designed a holistic strategic plan that encompassed key areas, including market-specific positioning strategies, social media management, multi-level media communication initiatives, and support for managing institutional relationships and engagement with other key stakeholders.

Results

The positioning strategy has delivered highly effective outcomes across institutional, media, and international prestige dimensions. Internally, key digital assets have also been enhanced, including the corporate website, internal communication systems, and the institutional video. In May 2025, Spain Film Commission was honored at Cannes with two Global Production Awards, notably securing the title of Film Commission of the Year, in competition with leading international entities such as Australia, New Zealand, and Northern Ireland.

  • Public Presence: Over 26,000 media mentions were recorded over the past year, reaching a cumulative audience of 1,692,426,503 users.
  • Digital Presence: Increase of more than 70% in followers and sustained engagement from the start of the strategy in January 2024 until June 2025. The organization has surpassed 10,000 followers on Instagram, 37,000 on LinkedIn, and is projected to reach 16,000 on X in the upcoming quarter.
  • International Recognition: Recipient of two prestigious Global Production Awards at the Marché du Film – Cannes Film Festival 2025: “Film Commission of the Year” and “Virtual Production Innovation Award”, in addition to a nomination for the “Economic & Social Impact Award”.
  • Institutional Presence: Strengthened relationships and strategic engagement with key public and private institutions across the audiovisual sector, including Telefónica, Netflix, and Izen, who have been part of the Board of Trustees of the Spain Film Commission since March 2025. Furthermore, collaboration agreements have been established with RTVE, Pablo de Olavide University, as well as the Secretariat of State for Tourism and the Secretariat of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.
