Founded in 2017 by Beatriz Magro and Nuria Morales in Fregenal de la Sierra, Extremadura, Komvida Kombucha has emerged as a leading company in the Spanish kombucha industry. The company is renowned for its steadfast commitment to rural development and female empowerment, with women comprising 75% of its workforce.
Komvida faced the challenge of consolidating its leadership in the Spanish kombucha market while effectively communicating its commitment to rural development and female empowerment. The key was to align its corporate purpose with a robust communication strategy to strengthen its media positioning and connect with a broader audience.
We designed a comprehensive communication strategy focused on showcasing Komvida’s core values: product excellence, its positive impact on rural development, the promotion of female leadership, and the achievements of the brand and its founders.
Our approach included targeted campaigns for both national and regional media, emphasizing the inspiring entrepreneurial journey of Komvida’s founders and their significant contributions to the social and business spheres. Additionally, we actively worked to enhance Komvida’s visibility by facilitating its participation in high-profile events, awards, and forums, further solidifying its prestige and public recognition.
Over the past two years, Komvida has garnered numerous prestigious awards that underscore its leadership and positive impact. These accolades include:
Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Merca2, presented to founders Beatriz Magro and Nuria Morales, Gold Medal of the Province of Badajoz by the Diputación de Badajoz, MAS Mujeres a Seguir Awards by MasMujeresASeguir, CaixaBank Businesswoman Award in Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura to Beatriz Magro by CaixaBank, Recognition at the 2nd Edition of the With Awards, shared by Beatriz Magro and Nuria Morales, Best Entrepreneurial Initiative in Southern Spain Award by CESUR.
In addition to these awards, Komvida has captured significant media attention with prominent features in: RTVE’s “De mi pueblo al mundo” on Comando Actualidad, RTVE’s “De Fregenal al mundo” on Aquí hay trabajo, El País article: “La kombucha de Extremadura que se convirtió en una bebida global”, El Mundo feature: “Bea y Nuria, las ‘gurús’ del ‘milagro’ millonario de la kombucha (y sus mujeres de Fregenal de la Sierra).”
Moreover, Beatriz Magro has taken Komvida’s vision to global stages, such as South Summit, one of the most prominent entrepreneurship events worldwide.
