Julio Bruno’s career and contribution to society:
Julio Bruno holds a master's degree in International Business from the University of London, a BSc in Business and Economics from SUNY (State University of New York), and a postgraduate certificate on leadership from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bruno was TripAdvisor’s Global Vice President of Sales (B2B). Based in New York he led a global sales team that achieved triple digit growth under his leadership. Bruno also worked as Travelport’s Vice President for Canada, Latin America & the Caribbean, during which time Travelport opened new business units across the continent. Before joining Travelport, Mr. Bruno was Cendant Corporation’s Managing Director (President) of Continental Europe & South America, leading several business units within their B2B division, namely, Galileo, Gulliver’s Travel (GTA) in-bound, Octopus Travel B2B and Travelwire. Mr. Bruno held senior international positions at companies from various sectors, such as Regus (IWG), Energizer y Diageo.
As CEO of Time Out Group, the leading global media and entertainment business bringing the soul of the city to life in over 328 cities and 58 countries, Julio Bruno acted as lead-motivator, idea captain, expert gear-shifter and team adhesive. Since joining Time Out in 2015, his strategic vision has bolstered the company’s shareholder value: in June 2016, the company was publicly listed on the stock exchange, and under his leadership it has taken a step towards the next phase of the group's growth through its successful Time Out Markets, a high quality culinary and cultural concept now present in cities such as Lisbon, New York, Chicago and Dubai.
In parallel with his operational work, Mr. Bruno is also currently involved with the start-up community, acting as an angel investor and board adviser to a number of businesses worldwide.
