José Antonio Pinilla Pérez is a Spanish entrepreneur, CEO, and chairman of Asseco Group Spain, a multinational tech company that offers solutions to other enterprises and public institutions.
José Antonio has transitioned from the science and investigation fields to the new technologies industry, an area in which he has specialized. José Antonio works in helping companies develop and transform through the use of new technologies. Since 2016, he has run Asseco Spain and has helped transform the business from a hardware company to a software and tech solutions company.

José Antonio Pinilla began his professional career in the research area at the CEU San Pablo University, where he conducted clinical trials in the United States and Spain. He later continued this stage at HM Hospitales.
After working at the Institute of Molecular Medicine (IMMA), he shifted his professional activity to the corporate management and new technologies industries, specifically focusing in the healthcare sector. Thus, in 2015 he started working at Asseco Spain, where he assumed leadership as CEO and Chairman in 2016, just one year after his arrival.
As a result of his position at Asseco Spain, he launched Fundación Asseco in 2021, intending to foster and promote technology and management solutions to the healthcare (hospitals, health centres, companies) and the education sector.
He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Digitalisation Committee of the Community of Madrid and an advisory member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Tourism Board.
Moreover, José Antonio leads the “Smart City Metropolis by Asseco” project. This project works toward sustainable urban development for smart cities through a digital urban infrastructure management platform that aims to achieve active planning, implementation, and smart services monitoring throughout the city.
His academic and professional background makes him an expert in some of the new cutting-edge technologies in the hardware and software sector, such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, and big data, applied to all types of IT solutions, with a particular focus on the social and healthcare sector.
