Helena Guardans’s career and contribution to society:
Helena Guardans studied at ESADE and participated in an exchange program with New York University, where she completed her senior year. She lived in New York from 1984 to 1986 where she had the opportunity to work in different companies. Helena Guardans always comments that the experience of that city enhanced her personal and professional development.
On her return to Barcelona, she joined the General Tobacco Company of the Philippines as Foreign Trade Coordinator, where she stayed for a short time because she soon discovered that the company's promotion policy had not yet included the possibility for women to occupy management positions.
She then began her career in advertising, first at Vizeversa as an account manager and then at the multinational Grey as an assistant manager. Those years were very important for Helena Guardans, where she developed her ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, where diversity was a value and deepened her knowledge of marketing and customer service. All this would be very important for her later development as a businesswoman.
In 1994 she founded her company Singular, a pioneer in offering customer care services. In 2001 Sellbytel acquired the majority of the company and in 2018 Webhelp bought Sellbytel.
Since 2018, she serves as president of WEBHELP Spain and his goal is to position WEBHELP as a leading company as a provider of BPO and CRM services. Helen pays special attention to people, quality, innovation and efficiency. Webhelp has a team of 5,000 employees in Spain and more than 100,000 worldwide.
